BREAKING – CASD Superintendent Retires

The CASD Board of Directors announced yesterday, Aug 29th 2013, that Superintendent Richard Como has decided to retire and has resigned from the district.  Mr. Como’s retirement will be effective Sept 2, 2013.

Asst Superintendent Dr. Angelo Romaniello Jr. will assume Mr. Como’s duties on a temporary basis while the board conducts a search for a new superintendent.  Dr. Romaniello has worked for CASD for 9 years as an administrator at the high school campus as well as at the CASD central admin office, covering all areas encompassing school district functions including but not limited to special ed, pupil services, and curriculum and instruction.  He has been the asst superintendent since obtaining his doctoral degree from Immaculata Univ in 2010.
